Technician operating drain cleaning equipment at a Dubai job

Our drain cleaning process

The same six steps on every job, because the alternative is guessing.

Quick answer

How does JetDrainPro approach a drainage job?

Every job follows the same six steps: inspect the line with a camera, diagnose the fault and pipe condition, set up the right equipment, clean the line fully, test the result, and provide a written report. The order matters most at the start: we look inside the pipe before we choose a method or give a price.

The approach on every drainage job across Dubai.

Why the order matters

Most drainage work goes wrong at the start, not the finish. A contractor who quotes before looking is guessing at the fault, and the guess is usually the service they wanted to sell. A slow drain might be grease, scale, sand, a foreign object, a displaced joint, a crack or back-fall, and from the outside they look identical. Choose the method before identifying the fault and you will sometimes choose wrong, and choosing wrong on a drain can mean jetting a cracked pipe into an excavation.

So the single most important thing about our process is that the looking comes first. Everything after it follows from what the camera shows.

The six steps

  1. Inspection

A CCTV camera is passed through the affected line from the nearest access. We locate the restriction, measure its distance, and assess the pipe wall on both sides of it. See drain inspection.

  2. Diagnosis

We identify the material causing the problem and the condition of the pipe. This determines the method, and whether cleaning is the right response at all or whether the line needs repair.

  3. Equipment setup

Cable, nozzle and pressure are selected for the pipe material, bore and fault. Access points are protected and containment is set for material coming back out.

  4. Cleaning

The line is worked from the access toward the fault and beyond it, so the full run is treated, not just the plug. Recovered material is contained, not flushed downstream.

  5. Testing

The line is flow-tested under load, then re-surveyed with the camera to confirm the bore is clear and the pipe wall is intact.

  6. Final report

You receive the before and after footage, the pipe condition, what was removed, and any defect cleaning did not address, with our recommendation. See what a survey report contains.

What you are left with

At the end of a job you have a cleared line and, just as importantly, a record: the footage, the findings, and a plain account of the pipe's condition. That record is yours. It tells you whether the problem is likely to return, whether there is a structural fault to address, and what to expect next. It can be handed to any other contractor. A job that leaves you with a working drain but no understanding of why it failed has done half of what a drainage visit should do.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you inspect before quoting?

Because the same symptom has many causes, and they are indistinguishable from the outside. A slow drain might be grease, scale, sand, a foreign object, a displaced joint or a crack, and each needs a different response. Quoting before looking means guessing at the fault, and guessing wrong on a drain can turn a cleaning job into a repair, or lead to jetting a damaged pipe. The inspection removes the guesswork, so the quote and the method fit the actual fault.

Do I get a report after the job?

Yes. Every job produces a record: the before and after footage, the condition of the pipe, what was removed, and any defect that cleaning did not address, with a recommendation. The record is yours to keep and to show any other contractor. It tells you whether the problem is likely to return and whether there is a structural fault to plan for, which is information a cleared drain alone does not give you.

What if the inspection shows the pipe needs repair, not cleaning?

Then we tell you, rather than cleaning a line that needs repairing. A cracked or displaced pipe is not fixed by cleaning, and jetting it can make it worse, so if the camera shows a structural fault we explain what it is and what it needs, whether that is repair, relining or replacement. Matching the response to the actual fault is the whole reason for looking first.

Do you offer our drain cleaning process near me?

For a service like this, near me really means how quickly we can get to you. We provide our drain cleaning process across Dubai, working from our base in Al Quoz Industrial Third, so a near me search is answered less by a branch on your street and more by how quickly we can reach you. That depends on where you are in the city, the time of day and access, so rather than claim to be the nearest, we ask where you are and give you a realistic time to attend. Tell us your location and what you need, and we will be straight about when we can be there.
