CCTV drain inspection in Dubai
A camera in the line, a location for every fault, and a report that is yours to keep.
Quick answer
What is CCTV drain inspection?
CCTV drain inspection sends a camera through a drainage line to record its condition and locate faults. It distinguishes cleaning problems from structural ones, fixes each defect to a measured distance from an access point, and produces recorded evidence you can hand to any contractor.
What the camera tells you that clearing cannot
A slow or blocked drain looks the same from the outside whatever the cause. Inside, grease, scale, sand, a foreign object, a displaced joint, a crack and a length of back-fall look nothing alike, and each carries a different repair. Clearing the line relieves the symptom and tells you nothing about the cause. A camera tells you the cause, and where it is.
This matters most before you spend on anything larger. You cannot sensibly price a repair to a fault you have not located, you should not jet a pipe you have not confirmed is sound, and you should not buy a villa whose drainage nobody has looked at. The survey is the cheapest part of every one of those decisions and the only one that produces evidence you keep.
Our inspection process
Access
We open the nearest suitable access point: a chamber, a rodding eye, a gully, or the fixture. Where none exists, we agree how to create access before cutting anything.
Pre-clean if needed
A line silted to the crown cannot be surveyed. Where necessary we clear enough to pass the camera, recording condition before and after so nothing is hidden.
Survey
The camera runs the full length of the line, and every observation is recorded with its distance from the access, so a fault at 8.4 metres can be found again by someone who was not present.
Locate and trace
Where a fault will need excavation, the camera head is traced from the surface and its position and depth marked, so any dig happens once and in the right place.
Report
You receive the footage, a located list of observations, the pipe material and diameter where determinable, and a clear split between service faults and structural ones, with a recommendation.
What drives the cost of a survey
- The number and length of the lines to be surveyed.
- Whether a usable access point exists or must be created.
- Whether the line must be cleared before the camera can pass.
- Whether location and depth tracing is needed, which is usually only when excavation is likely.
- The depth of reporting, from a short condition summary to a fully coded survey for a purchase or an insurance claim.

Frequently asked questions
Do I get to keep the footage and report?
Yes. Both are yours. They can be handed to any contractor for a quote, used to negotiate a property purchase, or submitted with an insurance claim. A survey you cannot take away with you is not doing its main job, which is to give you independent evidence of what is in the ground.
How is CCTV inspection different from just clearing the drain?
Clearing relieves the blockage and leaves you knowing nothing about why it happened. A camera survey identifies and locates the cause, distinguishes a cleaning problem from a structural one, and records it. Across a year of recurring blockages, one survey plus one correct repair almost always costs less than repeated clearances followed by the repair anyway.
Can the camera locate a fault for digging?
Yes. The camera head carries a transmitter that is traced from the surface, so the position and depth of a fault can be marked before any excavation. That means a single dig at the right spot rather than exploratory trenching, which on a driveway or under landscaping is the difference between a small job and a large one.
Should I get a survey before buying a property in Dubai?
It is worth it. Drainage runs below ground, outside the scope of most building inspections, and it is among the more expensive things to remedy once you own it. A pre-purchase survey gives you either reassurance or a located defect to negotiate with, both of which are worth more than the survey costs.
Where can I find cctv drain inspection near me?
The honest version of near me is about response time, not distance on a map. We provide cctv drain inspection across Dubai, working from our base in Al Quoz Industrial Third, so a near me search is answered less by a branch on your street and more by how quickly we can reach you. That depends on where you are in the city, the time of day and access, so rather than claim to be the nearest, we ask where you are and give you a realistic time to attend. Tell us your location and what you need, and we will be straight about when we can be there.

If a drain keeps blocking, the next thing to buy is a look inside it, not another clearance.
